"New Year 2010 BBQ at Long Bay Regional Park"

New Zealand Nepalese Association organised new years BBQ at the Long Bay regional Park on 02 January 2010. It was a bright sunny day, a perfect day for a day out in the beach. Food was excellent and tea served at the intervals were refreshing. We spent almost 10 hours in the beach as no one was in a mood to return back to home. Luckily the next day was a public holiday too and we had enough time to rest before going back to work. Raj Maharjan and Bhola Shrestha's research to hire the spot paid off as we knew in advance that there was no need to hire the spot on a public holiday and can be occupied on first come first serve basis. We were lucky to have the best spot with all the ammenities located at a close distance. We also played Cricket and Bedendra Adhikari was the only batsman not out despite tremendous balling by Jocelyn Hinton and others. Many of pur friends were away on a holiday and some were unable to attend due to family and work reasons. In nutshell it was a great BBQ on a perfect day on aperfect spot.
